ToggleBurglars who used Rightmove to plan raids jailed
A UK-wide organized burglary ring, utilizing Rightmove and Google to orchestrate multiple break-ins into affluent residences, has been sentenced to prison. The group, composed of four individuals from the West Midlands and Sheffield, admitted to stealing over £1 million in luxury goods, including high-end watches, handbags, and gold, while setting weekly targets for their illicit hauls.
Convictions and Sentences
Kristian Gropcaj, George Pepa, Krisjian Dedndreaj, and Sidorjan Lleshi—each hailing from different parts of England—pledged guilt for the series of burglaries in Chester Crown Court. Their sentences ranged from nine years to ten years and nine months. Endrit Nikolli, 27, remains to be sentenced. His partner, Jade Tubb, from Walsall, confessed to conspiring to keep criminal assets and received a 12-month suspended term alongside 200 hours of community service.
Targeted Tactics
The gang, originally from Albania, targeted wealthy households in multiple regions. Police revealed they used Google to locate high-value postcode areas before analyzing Rightmove listings to study property layouts. Entry was often made via the first floor, with ladders helping them bypass alarm systems that covered only ground-level areas. Homes were systematically searched, and bed sheets were repurposed as makeshift containers for stolen items. In one instance, a safe was entirely removed from a residence, captured on CCTV.
“The group operated as a high-level organized crime network, responsible for at least 59 high-value burglaries across the UK,” said Det Sgt Laura Fox of Cheshire Police. “They specifically targeted affluent victims to maximize their loot, with Nikolli, Gropcaj, Dedndreaj, Pepa, and Lleshi executing the raids while Tubb managed the proceeds.”
The stolen items included cash, jewelry, and designer goods. The gang’s methodical approach allowed them to efficiently exploit vulnerabilities in security systems. Cheshire Police identified patterns in their operations, leading to the arrests. The full sentencing details will be shared in upcoming court proceedings.
