ToggleMurder charge over Primrose Hill stabbing
Fatal attack leaves family in mourning
Finbar Sullivan, a 21-year-old, was found dead with severe knife wounds near the northern viewing area of Primrose Hill on Tuesday. The Met confirmed that Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, a 27-year-old from Enfield’s Southbury Road, was apprehended on Friday and formally charged with murder on Sunday. Ogunyankinnu is scheduled to appear at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Investigation continues into the incident
Authorities stated that a 25-year-old man, previously detained on suspicion of aiding the offender, has been released without further charges. The Met emphasized that the case remains under active scrutiny. Sullivan, a film student at the London Screen Academy, was remembered by loved ones as a cherished figure.
Family reflects on loss
“All of his friends said he was the light, the leader. His friends’ parents loved him. This is why it’s so tragic,” shared Chris Sullivan, 65, Finbar’s father, in an interview with BBC London.
Second victim sustains non-life-threatening injuries
Officers also discovered a man in his 20s with stab wounds on Regent’s Park Road nearby. He was hospitalized, though his condition is deemed not critical or permanently altered. BBC Radio London and BBC London’s social media platforms are highlighted as sources for updates.
