ToggleVirgin Atlantic Launches New Heathrow Lounge Features
Virgin Atlantic has launched fresh enhancements to its Clubhouse at London Heathrow, introducing a state-of-the-art cinema, work pods, and a wellness-focused spa. These additions mark the first stage of a comprehensive redesign aimed at elevating the passenger experience.
Upper Class travelers now enjoy an upgraded environment on the ground, complete with luxurious amenities and personalized services tailored to their needs. The lounge’s new layout accommodates a wider range of guests, offering distinct areas for business professionals, couples, and social groups.
Royal Box VIP Experience
As part of the transformation, a new Royal Box area has been introduced, offering an exclusive, theatrical retreat from the main lounge. This private zone features sumptuous red sofas and a curated ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’ showcasing decadent sweets and champagne.
Design elements draw from Vivienne Westwood’s iconic style and London’s transport heritage, incorporating warm brass accents and the airline’s signature red color. Custom lighting and integrated plants create a soothing ambiance, while commissioned artworks by UK artists line the walls.
Work Pod Studios
Two dedicated work pods have been installed, each equipped with modern desks and integrated power outlets. The pods include ‘on air’ indicators to signal availability and studio-inspired decor, such as framed vinyl records, reflecting Virgin Records’ legacy.
These spaces are designed for productivity, blending comfort with functionality to support travelers needing both relaxation and focus during their stay.
Redesigned Cinema
The Cinema has been reimagined as a compact, immersive space for unwinding. Enhanced acoustics, royal blue armchairs, and red seating provide a premium atmosphere. New features include charging stations, TV access, and Bluetooth headphones for an elevated audiovisual experience.
Wellness Pop-Ups
Wellness amenities now include two pop-up experiences, offering bespoke services like massages, facials, and manicures. Guests can also explore three Somadomes—immersive wellness domes—free of charge until the end of May.
Secret Spa has expanded its offerings at the Clubhouse, providing express treatments and glow-enhancing facials. For those traveling on the new Seoul route, OSKIA skincare and OPI nail products are available alongside popular K-beauty brands.
“The Clubhouse is an iconic part of the Virgin Atlantic experience, and we’re proud to be unveiling a bold new chapter at Heathrow. This investment reflects our commitment to continually innovating for our customers, combining wellbeing, entertainment, and distinctive design in a way only Virgin Atlantic can,” said Juha Jaervinen, Chief Customer Officer.
Juha Jaervinen also hinted at future developments, including new ways for guests to enjoy plane spotting while soaking up London’s sunshine from the rooftop terrace.
